Statement about our Future - Encouragement
At Future Coffee our baristas and employees speak words of encouragement to the customers as they receive their coffee. These encouraging are often about the customers’ futures. Future-Encouragement. This page will explain a little about the what, the why & the how behind our future-encouragement model.
The Roots.
We have rooted our model of Future-Encouragement in teachings from Christianity. There is an idea in Christianity that everyone has a spark of divinity inside them, that every human is made in the image of God.
The Bible has a teaching that each human is “marvelously made” by God, and we believe that if a person knew who they truly were meant to be then they wouldn’t want to be anyone else.
When encouraging customers our goal is to tap into God’s ideas about them and speak those words over them.
In the Gospels, Jesus has this teaching that his words are words of life. Our hope is that people will feel themselves come alive on the inside as they hear divinely inspired words spoken over them.
The How?
We do this by the Spirit of Jesus. According to Christian teaching, the Spirit of Jesus is God’s gift which allows normal people to speak divine thoughts in a normal way.
The Christian idea is something like this: when God spoke the world into existence, the Spirit of Jesus was there. Here at Future Coffee we speak encouragement to each customer, dreaming that it will create worlds of life inside you.
